YouTube downloader

Paste a link and check it first — you will see the title, the length and the sizes that upload actually has before anything is fetched. Video arrives as MP4 with sound; audio arrives as MP3.

JavaScript is switched off, so the quality picker cannot be filled in. The form still works: paste a link and press Download, and the file arrives at the default size — 720p, or the closest size that upload has.

Worth knowing

Videos up to 3:00:00 long. Live streams cannot be downloaded while they are running.
15 downloads per address per day, with a short pause between them. Checking a link is free and does not count.
MP4 keeps the sound. Sizes shown with a ~ are estimates — above 720p the file is merged here, so the finished size shifts a little.
Nothing is kept. The file is deleted the moment it has finished sending, and no link to it exists.
Download your own uploads, or ones whose licence or owner allows it. Copyright stays with whoever made the video.
